Kaiholan Puutarha in Orivesi is run by Pia Kärki and Glenn Eloranta on land that once belonged to Glenn’s grandfather. They grow a wide range of herbs, edible flowers, berries, and vegetables, and also manage gardens for others. The couple likes to experiment with unusual varieties, from Thai cucumbers to Huacatay and golden garlic flowers. All production is done without tractors, single-use plastics, or chemicals, using natural methods and ecosystem services to support healthy soil.

Malmgård Estate in Loviisa dates back to the 1600s and is now run by brothers Henrik and Fredrik Creutz, the 13th generation on the farm. Organic since 1995, Malmgård focuses on ancient grains, growing wheat, oat, rye, and barley. They mill and sell their own flours, oatmeal, and other cereal products. The farm shop also stocks regional produce and houses the Malmgård beer brewery. In summer, there’s a café on site, and visitors can explore the estate, including the mansion and the castle, to learn more about its long history.

Viltgården, based in Fagervik Bay in Inkoo, works with wild game from Finnish forests, mainly deer and moose. The meat comes from local hunting teams in Uusimaa and Varsinais-Suomi and is cut and packed by their own small team at Viltgården’s slaughterhouse in Inkoo. Their approach is rooted in careful, selective hunting and a deep understanding of wildlife populations. By working in step with the forests and their inhabitants, Viltgården offers an ethical, transparent alternative to farmed meat.
